Winfax/computer Fax Programs

Recommended Posts

Guest Deuces Wild

I know you can use WinFax on your computer when working with a dial up connection.

I don't think so but I will ask anyway.....can it work with a cable or DSL connection? If so, how?

I don't see how it could. There are some internet based fax transfer tools that allow you to send stuff through the internet an it is kept in a Tiff to be sent to a fax machine (at a fee) or d/l (used to be free)

It can be done using email, with 99% of the fax programs. Or don't get rid of that old modem.

If you dopn't have a modem you can get some pretty cheap data fax modems, $15 range, sure beats buying a seperate fax machine.

I have a DSL connection and I also use Winfax Pro software. Winfax dials out on the modem to send a fax. It don't interfear with your DSL connection at all. It does not use the DSL connection to send a fax.
