MS Defender asking to submit file(s)?

Recommended Posts

You can permanently disable this "feature" in a few, easy steps.

Open Powershell as Admin-click Start and begin typing powershell, you'll get something similar to this.

Click Run as Administrator, click Yes when prompted by UAC for permissions.

Next, type/paste Set-MpPreference -SubmitSamplesConsent 2,  then hit enter. When the action completes, you'll get a line below as if awaiting another command, just close the window.

You'll no longer be prompted to review/submit files to M$ for evaluation for malware, like in the below image.
