Newbe with a question (easy one)

Recommended Posts

I am not really new. I used Pitstop a long time ago, which brings me to my question:

While doing a scan with Old Timer (or hijack this) I found a entry with the Pitstop name. I have seen it in the past but never continued with a inquiry.

Here is the entry:

DPF: {0E5F0222-96B9-11D3-8997-00104BD12D94} https://files.pcpitstop.com/cab/pcmatic.cab (PCPitstop Utility)

Its not really doing anything, I don't think.

Should I get rid of it and how?

Thanks in advance

The site looks good. I just don't buy much stuff. But will come back for the forums and test app's.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that you had PC Matic installed at some point as that's part of our software.

DPF are Internet Explorer ActiveX controls.  I'm betting you ran the old PC pitstop scan at some point.  My memory is you had to use Internet Explorer and allow it to install the ActiveX controls in order to run the scan.
