Blocking Programs Access to Internet

Recommended Posts

Hi Bayman,

It would really depend on how the program accesses the internet.

If it is through a separate executable, then you can add that specific file to your black list and it simply will not execute.

For example, there are auto-update and "take this survey" programs that come bundled with others and these can be black listed easily.

Run the program that you wish to black list, then click on the Super Shield icon in the task bar and select Security Report.

Find and let me know the name of the executable and on which of your machines this ran.

Also, do you want this black listed only on this computer or on all of the computers?

I'll add the file with it's MD5 hash to your black list.

:) Y

I continually get a request to update Adobe's Flash Player, I don't know if this is a virus using Adobe as a way of getting into my computer...the number of times I get this request bothers me....
