"What was your favorite toy when you were a kid?"

Recommended Posts

When I was little, my brother had plastic cowboy figures. My mom had a huge driftwood log that had all sorts of unique crevices that the two of us used as our 'forts'.

We played cowboys endlessly, with those little plastic dudes!!

Of course, I had Barbie and ken, but they weren't as fun as sneaking up on an un-manned fort

I liked Billy Blastoff

You put a AA battery in each of the spaceman's tanks. This allowed him to drive the various vehicles or light up the monitor or space gun.

The only toy I can recall having was an homemade sling shot I made myself.

My life as a kid was hard work on the farm.

Got my first Christmas present at age 18, a wrist watch form my girlfriend.

Cap guns always misfired, so we'd just pop the caps on the curb with a rock :D

Did lots of that or just fed 'em through by hand right in front of the hammer on the gun...

HO Started out with the smallest set, but me and my brother added to it every chance we had. Ended up with a setup that took 4 4x8' sheets of plywood and included ho trains and tunnels with made up little towns. Spent many, many hours and lots of $$ on that. Was fun!

For nice weather days a bicycle was always the greatest toy.

For not so nice weather days, couldn't go wrong with LEGO!

Please define "when you were a kid" :P

Still have this one and 30 years later I still build it up every year for use under the Christmas tree!!
