Headtracking Software Mouse Control

Recommended Posts

I discovered an amazing little open source application today that uses a web cam, to track your head and control your mouse by doing nothing but move your head.

It is to say the least an amazing little application, that may be a fun toy for some of us, it but for people with disabilities it has the potential to be the difference between using a computer or not using a computer.

I put together a short video of it being used.

http://itsyourpc.org...ux/eviacam.html

It can be found here http://eviacam.sourc...net/eviacam.php

It is supported in just about any OS, While they don't list Mac OSX, for folks who know the underlying os, they could make it work in Mac OSX

Supported platforms

GNU/Linux

Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7

In opensuse if you have the packman repository enabled you can install it in YaST. (You don't need to download from eviacams website)
