Auto-Complete web addresses in Firefox.

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I was looking for a way that corrects a web address if I miss type the end. For example; www.google.con ..

But, that got me in to a search that uncovered a cool little feature of Firefox;

If you type pcpitstop in to the address bar and press the 'Ctrl' then the 'Enter' key, it auto completes the address - giving www.pcpitstop.com

Ctrl + Enter is used to auto complete .com addresses.

Shift + Enter is used to auto complete .net addresses.

Control, Shift and Enter for .org addresses.

Each of these will add the www. in front of the word you want to navigate to.

That has also worked for IE ... both for a long time now.

But only the Crtl+Enter pair, if I remember it right.
