Algae in the Tubes...

Recommended Posts

...Not fun to deal with, especially with school starting soon.

I guess that's what I get for not putting enough antifreeze in my mix.

Let this be a warning to all of you with water-cooled PCs.

That's one of the main reasons why I went back to air cooling. My water cooling was just too much of a hassle and I didn't want to put up with it anymore. It honestly had just too much maintenance.

I've sunk too much money into it at this point, and an air cooler with close to the same performance would be even more.

I got a giggle...

Warning: This product contains...uh...Silver!

• If ingested, you may choke... so just don't do that.

• If contact with skin occurs, smile... you're holding silver!

• AVOID CONTACT WITH EYES! If contact with eyes occurs... wait, why are you shoving metal coils into your eyes?

I'll have to pick up something along those lines...thanks! :b33r:

Algae cannot grow without light. ;)

That would be helpful...if it weren't for the big windows on both sides of my case.

and yet there's never any algae in your regrig water?? hummm

How about using somrthing other than clear tubes and resevoirs? That would work. or if your not into buying new tubing, tape your tube.

Like i mentioned before uv light kills algae, thats why they are used in pond filtration kits, Ive not changed the antifreeze in my cooling kit for a few months now, No algae! as for mixing your antifreeze with water WHY? F1 teams dont mix water with ther antifreeze because it does a much better job of cooling on its own.

Their warnings are very funny. I didn't know that algae get into the the tubes. One of the things I should look out for if I ever get into water cooling.
