d0nut Report post Posted March 1, 2009 I've been using Statcounter for a few months, now, without problems but the program has now developed a blocking cookie problem which seems to be inherent. I've been on the Statcounter forum, but to no avail. Does anyone know of a similar program (not Google analytic, please) which is available free? Thanks. d0nut

Woopra is a good alternative to GA: http://www.woopra.com/ Yahoo! also has a analytics app: http://web.analytics.yahoo.com/ Thanks for the prompt reply. Much appreciated. The problem I have with Google is that they seem to want far too much personal information. For instance, why would they want my telephone number? I am reluctant to divulge this sort of personal stuff where it does not seem necessary. d0nut
d0nut Report post Posted March 1, 2009 Well, subscribed to Woopra (phone number optional) but the confirmation code was invalid. I have asked for a new code but, 30 minutes later, I am still waiting for the email.

all4sma Report post Posted March 1, 2009 I don't quite understand what's wrong with Google Analytics (GA), but... Woopra is a good alternative to GA: http://www.woopra.com/ Yahoo! also has a analytics app: http://web.analytics.yahoo.com/ The only information you need to give to create a google account is an existing email address. Then the create a GA account all you need to enter is the domain name, and the country you live in. They do ask for your name and phone number however neither of those fields are required. d0nut Report post Posted March 22, 2009 Interesting. Assuming you've checked your spam/junk folder--Maybe try requesting the code again? Never did hear from them again. However, I have now sorted the problem with Statcounter. Turned out to be pilot error. Thanks to all for your help. d0nut
