Clean copy when Scanning

Recommended Posts

This is one I accidentally found out for myself many years ago -- when Office Photocopiers were first becoming available.

If the text on the reverse of the page you want to copy is coming through, place a sheet of BLACK paper behind the page you are trying to copy. Not only does the reverse text disappear, the contrast for the copy is improved, I.E. Clearer whites and darker blacks.

Works on photocopiers, scanners and flat-bed faxes. I have not found a way to feed a text page and a backing sheet through my fax so I scan & print it first then feed the clean cpy through my fax.

No black paper? run the scanner or copier with the cover open! :geezer:

A document carrier like the ones used to fax small documents should do it.
