Got up at 6:40 am CST U.S. and came in to look at the water hole. 4 huge Elephants standing right out in the middle soaking themselves!

edit: would have been about 2:40 pm in Africa

Last night about 11:45pm CST U.S. I went and looked at full screen right before going to bed. Prettiest Zebras you ever saw and the pond looked blue!

This a.m. the Elephants looked amazing, seems like the camera for a while at least was working exceptionally well. All I see now is the tribe of Baboons. ;)

:geezer:

When I tuned in about 30 min. ago, it was focused on some Impala, way over by the compound and focused well enough you could see people moving about.......large Impala herd now, out in the trees....

Cam is stationary on the watering hole.

No activity.

8 minutes makes a huge difference at night.

If they were there, I missed them.

Nobody seems to hang around.

Either prowling through or avoiding the prowlers.

Just above the right hand corner, not far, two somethings there......

Perhaps on a kill???

Got em.

You may be right.

It's just approaching mid-night there.

6+ hours til early light of day will help with resolution.

If it's a kill, then the lions will be hanging around during the day.

If not, they will just have likely disappeared before dawn.

Last kill I say at the watering hole was a wildebeest.

This one looks smaller (impala?) <-- if it really is a kill.

The lions dined on the wildebeest for more than 2 days and no other animals approached into the watering hole meadow area until they wandered off.

Well, whatever it is, is not moving.......staying right there......and right now Rhino's!!

edit: well, I don't think it's a Lion anymore, the Rhino walked within a few yards of it and didn't even bat an eyelash......
