PC Optimize

Recommended Posts

When using PC Optimize I keep getting an invalid lib entry that has something to do with Active X technology. PC Optimize says it's removing it but it never gets removed. When I click on details it says I have to check the box first. The box IS checked.

Can someone advise?

Thanks

Dave

Which version of Optmize are you using?

Can you post the key here so that we can take a closer look?

There are one or two keys that are getting "locked" as a result of a broken MacroMedia Flash install.

Are you having any problems with Macromedia Flash on web pages lately? For example, can you play the video here?

If Flash isn't working on your system, try this remover:

https://service.breezecentral.com/cfusion/k...cfm?id=tn_14157

Then you should be able to reinstall Flash if you want.

I can give a better answer once I know what key it is.

david kost,

If Im not mistaken Optimize is a paid for product. You will get the attention and help you need if posted in the proper forum. Or perhaps a mod can move it for you.

Your post belongs here-

http://pcpitstop.invisionzone.com/index.php?showforum=29

It's PC Optimize 1.0.0.14

I don't think I'm having problems with Macromedia Flash. Yes, I can play the video here at http://service.breezecentral.com/cfusion/k...cfm?id=tn_14157.

Thanks! Now what?

Sorry, I was away for a while.

Another question, if you run Optimize twice in succession is the key found on the second scan and then it returns after a reboot, or it is just not being removed at all?

If you can post which registry key it is I can have our software engineer have a look and make a suggestion, or you may want to try the beta version that is in its final testing before release:

http://pcpitstop.invisionzone.com/index.php?showtopic=116537

If you want to post the key you may have to highlight the main entry and click the 'details' button to get the exact key.

I can run Optimize 10 times and it's still there. It's there when I run it right after rebooting.

I don't know which registry key it is.................that's the problem. Even when I highlight the main entry and click on "details" it says I have to check the box. The box IS checked. I tried unchecking it also but it still won't give me details.

I guess the server was down and I didn't know it. I kept posting but it wouldn't show up. Thought there was something wrong with my computer for awhile until I got an IB warning.

I'm confused! When I post a reply it isn' showing up right away. Is this normal? How long is the usual wait before post shows up? Am I doing something wrong? I logged in last night and started a new topic and had no problem. Post was shown immediately.

Thanks!

OK..........highlighting it worked this time.

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TYPELIB\

I've never gone into my registry because I know nothing about it.

I have no idea if this post is going to show up. It's 10:30 P.M. EDST.

What is this "guided mode enabled" and "guide mode off?"

We had to turn on new topic & post moderation for this section(Paid Products), since we allow guests to posts in this particular area.

Unfortunately, spammers have recently started taking advantage of this fact and have been clogging us up with garbage posts.
