  1. Drives are fine. I just did what I didn't want to do. Had to order a copy of Vista HP 64 bit.
  2. I get the same error code with the original PC hard drive and the new one. The thing is the restore disc formats from the get go. Plus they sent me 2 different sets of restore disc. One is a 4 disc set that doesn't even load and the other is a 3 disc set, I get the error at the end. I don't think Acer knew which set to send me.
  3. I just got in restore disc for an Acer desktop. At the end of the last disc I get the error code 0xd000000a. Restore failed. I have changed HD, video card, ram, unhooking usb ports. Still same error comes up. Any clues.
  4. The bad thing is, I'm gonna have to buy copies of basic and premium, just to work on the new PC's that come out. I was looking at Sunday's best buy flyer. All the PC's they had for sale where about split down the middle as far as each operating system. Plus I'm ganna have to have a hot line to MS, when I do a repair that requies an install. Kinda got used to that. I noticed the last 6 months of XP I had to call MS on over half the installs I did for repairs. To bad PC makers don't include OS disc with their PC's anymore. This is going to be a hassel
  5. A P4 2.53 with 512 mb/ddr2700-24/7 A celeD 2.8 with 512 mb/ddr 3200-24/7 I was using a 3.0 celeD up till a couple of days ago, But I just sold it. So i had 3 now I'm down to 2 Fixing to get passed now too.
  6. My parents have a PC I built years ago, with a PIII 800 slot 1 cpu in it and 384 mb of ram. It's been running at 867mhz now 24/7 for several years with no problem. I do have a golden orb fan mounted on it. It will score around 800 on the pit test too.
  7. The one I have been using for years is NOAA.org. It is the national weather service. No pop ups and government funded. Not only will it give weather around the world, but you could spend hours on that site. They give you free what other weather services charge extra for, if you want their premium service. I have a icon on my desktop, that goes straight to my hometown weather.
  8. Well guys I just went through all 13 pages. I saw some very nice rigs. One thing kinda scares me though. Some of you have got it BAD!
  9. http://www.pcpitstop.com/techexpress.asp?id=DYF19W90LNUSVB97 These are my DSL speeds. Something you may want to try. I installed a Compex 64 bit gigabit card. For some reason it unlocked my upload speed. Doubled it. Download stayed the same. My other PC's in the house are using onboard ethernet. Running an upload of around 330. My brother and I Vid Conf. once or twice a week. He's in Fla and I'm in NC. He receives me between 29 and 30 fps. I get him at 14 to 16 fps. He is on cable and his upload is 320. Oh yeah the 64 bit card is only working 32 bit.
  10. http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=8043346 3D01 score..24812 www.pcpitstop.com/techexpress.asp?id=CESP9WHUDGRSB7M7 Pit score..2240 http://service.futuremark.com/compare?pcm04=2716226 Pc04 score..5759 Total..7501 3.2EE @ 3.833 on air I'm gonna submit another pit score when I get time. As you can see the 74 G raptor, scored low on that test. I'm not running raid. But that thing bounces around between 26 and 62 mb/s. Can't figure it out. Just have to keep testing till it scores high. Look the 2nd partition of the Raptor did 63 mb/s http://www.pcpitstop.com/techexpress.asp?id=CESP9WHUDGRSB7M7 OOOOpppss... Here is my pit test again. 2240
  11. I run Norton Sys works 2003 and 2004 on 2 different PC's with service pac 2 with no problems.
  12. Hang in there Wayne. Same thing happened to me about 6 months ago with a Gigi. board. You'll make it. Maybe. :help:
  13. With my LCD it does. I've been through this many times. The lower res. makes my icons larger. Thus pushing them in towards the center of the screen. Then when I go back to higher res. they stay positioned at last crop. Which means I have to put them back where they were.
