  7. You can use both of them to scan with, but have only one of them active at a time.
  8. DebbieL, C:\Program Files\ewido\security suite\ewidoctrl.exe C:\Program Files\ewido\security suite\ewidoguard.exe C:\Program Files\Norton AntiVirus\navapsvc.exe Are you using two Anti-Virus programs at the same time? If so this will cause problems as they will work against each other. I am not a HJT Trusted Advisor, so I will let one of them look at your HJT log. dabwid
  9. Assi, I did not mean anything in my reply, it is a canned response that covers most everything. Sometimes people get a little confused and I try to keep it simple. Y kawika is one of the best for the HJT logs. He will get you all fixed up.
  10. DebbieL, Looks like time for Hi-Jack This. You have some bad guys hiding in your computer. Current version of HJT is 1.99.0 Update HJT if you are using an outdated version. http://www.merijn.org/files/hijackthis_sfx.exe ** NOTE---Using this URL /\ will automatically put HJT in it's own folder. Please create a permanent folder for HJT. Backups can't be created in a temporary directory or running from an unzipped state. Here's how to make a permanent folder: Click My Computer, then C:\ In the menu bar, File->New->Folder. That will create a folder named New Folder, which you can rename to "HJT" or "HijackThis". Now you have C:\HJT\ folder. Put your HijackThis.exe there, and double click to run it. Serious damage to an operating system can result if advice is given by a novice. Forum Members are requested to not post a 'fix' for a HJT log unless you've been educated in the matter, and people seeking help are advised to wait until a Forum Staff Member or a Member of the Trusted HJT Advisor Group has reviewed and approved any advice given here before proceeding any further.
  11. darkeyes, Click on the link on How to Stay Safe on The Internet, Below.
  12. DebbieL, Do you have System Restore active? If so the viruses are still there. Try to run the scans again with Sytem Restore off. How to turn off System restore....Click me
  13. :welcome: Sound like a job for Hi-Jack This.... HijackThis examines several places in your system where spyware and viruses typically hide and generates a log file that shows you the information from those places. It is an advanced tool and requires some expertise to interpret its results. Before using HijackThis you should always scan for spyware and viruses using one or more of the tools mentioned here: http://pcpitstop.ibforums.com/index.php?showtopic=61975 The automated tools are much easier to use and interpret than HijackThis and catch the majority of troublemaking software. The download button and instructions for using HijackThis are here: Current version of HJT is 1.99.0 Update HJT if you are using an outdated version. http://www.merijn.org/files/hijackthis_sfx.exe ** NOTE---Using this URL /\ will automatically put HJT in it's own folder. Once you have a HijackThis log, use the New Topic button in this section to create your own thread. Do not add your log to someone else's thread with the New Reply button! Do not fix anythig until advised to by one of the HJT advisors.
