  6. Oh that bad? Well I will buy one OEM Processor or what I can get and buy the heat sink and fan seperate for that model, would that work? Cheers Richard
  7. Sorry mate, I don't necessarily want an OEM Version, if a retail one comes with the fan and heatsink I'll get that one, I run vista though will it be compatable? Also what is the difference between the OEM and retail? Thanks for your help.
  8. I think I've decided on this and the fan and heatsink I can get for this model off ebay for a little amount AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4600+ Socket 939 512KB Box what do you think?
  9. Don't most all processors come with fan/heatsinks when you buy them that are a standard size which in-turn would fit my case?
  10. No I certainly don't have that much height more like 6 1/2 " anything I could get for that?
  11. It's the plain square aluminium one so I'll need a new one, what do you think, which one should I go for?
  12. Thanks mate that helps a lot, now how will I know whether I can fit a heatsink/fan in my case? But having said this mine that I have already is quite big and it looks as though I could get a bigger one inside as there is a lot of space height wise between the fan or heatsink and the side panal, is this what you mean guys? Thanks, Ricky
  13. This is my motherboard http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/generic...6280&lc=en#
  14. Right I have decided to buy this AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200 Dual-Core Socket 939 OEM Processor but I was just wondering how do I make sure I have the right socket and will my motherboard be able to handle it? Also I need a need a cooler facility I guess with this? Where do I install this on my board? So...Is there anything else that I missed? A step-by-step guide on how to install this would be great although I got a few videos off someone on here already which I am grateful of, but I would like it written down so I can save it. Thanks in advance for any help received. Ricky

    RAM?

Hi mate, thanks for your reply and yes I am using the computer in the tech express link, I just brought a new video card so it shouldn't be that, it is the Nvidia 8600GTS PCI-E, but someone told me it was the RAM that could be an issue so now ordered another 2GB to go with my already 1GB which hopefully should solve my problem. What do you think? Thanks again for the reply and your help so far, what you said made sense, Ricky

    RAM?

I was wondering whether anyone can tell me what effect RAM has on gaming as I seem to have all the requirements to play Medal Of Honor Airbourne except for the processor but that shouldn't matter should it? But I have 1 GB of RAM and it is so glitchy and stop start, could the RAM be the cause. The game requires 1GB of RAM and that's what I have but I can't find any other reason for it. Thanks for your help in advance, Ricky
  21. Call Of Duty 4 have you seen it, it look the dogs proverbials, what are your thoughts?
  22. Thank you that has put my mind at ease I think Nvidia on their website said they expected more from the xpertvision card and XFX were better, but as long as it shares no real differences then I am fine with that. Thanks again to you and to evrybody else who has helped me, Richard
  23. Thank you mate for taking the time to check it out, much appreciated. I just plugged the Power connector cable into the DVD drive went in just fine, I have 6 of them so I assume this is what will plug into the molex adapter. Thanks again, Richard
  24. Biased or Modest? My question, well I have just brought the Nvidia Xpertvision 8600GTS 256MB but people I have spoken to say the XFS 256MB 8600GTS is better, but I was just wondering how much better is it? What can I expect from this card and what would I not get from this card that I would've on XFS? In basic terms please. I don't expect you to answer if you don't know mate, thanks for your help. Richard By the way was I right about the power connecters?
  25. Yes thanks for your help, I will, I got this PSU because someone with the same computer as me advised me to do this, as he brought a Nvidia 8600GT and used this PSU to power it and it performed well so I should be fine. Also read a few reviews about this PSU all of which were good. Thanks for your advice though really appreciate it. Richard
