  1. that's one of the better ones I've seen.
  2. You should really rid of some of the stuff in your taskbar. I've never seen a system with so many running processes that wasn't incredibly slow
  3. 8) Posted images should be no larger than 550x412. Images that are larger than this will be converted to a link without notice --- I_G I'll start with mine Here's a screenshot of my desktop: http://i207.photobucket.com/albums/bb252/m...iot/m249-21.jpg
  4. Just one more reason I tell my daughter that children have no business on the internet unless they're being supervised. She hates it but at least I don't have to worry about some pedophile stalking her
  5. Or, to avoid accidentally changing something that may be irreversible, just rightclick any app and select run as administrator when you want to make a change or install something
  6. Once you figure out what you think you need, add 25% to that and that's what you should get. A PSU that doesn't have to work very hard is going to run a lot cooler and will be much more reliable that one that's always running at or near capacity
  7. Note to self: Pay someone else to flash bios if I ever need it done Must've gotten lucky with my first build. Didn't have any problems
  8. They're ripped from the original CDs. I won't be able to store everything on the internal drives but at least I'll be able to make some room to organize everything.
  9. I have vista ultimate on disk. For a monitor I'm using a 32" NEC multisync at 1366x768. I have my entire CD collection (8665 of them - I used to be a DJ) on external drives that I want to transfer to the Hitachi drives. I installed the OS, battlefield 2 and World of Warcrack on the raptors, which are set up for mirrored RAID. It took me about 45 minutes to put it all together. It takes about 40 seconds to startup the system and get on the internet... Now to check out the OC options....

  11. I won a lawsuit cause I got hit in the head with a backhoe 3 years ago. I will never have to worry about money again. My plan is to start a business building gaming systems for people who just don't have the right mindset for building computers
  12. I'm planning to learn how to oc once I get the system running, but I have a lot to learn first
  13. The 10000 rpm hdd aren't big enough but I'll get one just for the games
  14. How about the Striker extreme, C2E qx6800, 4gb crucial ddr2 pc8500 @ 1000Mhz, 2 8800 gtx cards, an Auzentech X-Meridian sound card, Thermaltake Armor LCS tower, Koolance 1200 Watt Liquid-Cooled Power Supply, 1 Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 750gb hdd, ASUS Black LightScribe DVD Burner.
