  1. Thanks. Winsockfix did the trick! Hopefully it stays that way. I appreciate everyone's help. Every time I've had a problem, the guys and girls on this forum have come through. Keep up the good work.
  2. I just tried to connect to these sites using a wireless laptop on my system - it worked. That leads me to believe it's something with my computer, not the internet connection/router per se.
  3. No. Zyxel. And everything worked fine for a while. Can't pinpoint when it went bad for some sites, as I only go to those sites every couple of months.
  4. Not a problem on their end. This happened once before. When I had my hard drive replaced and the computer was "fresh" again, it worked fine for a while, so it has to be something with my PC.
  5. Here it is: « SpeedGuide.net TCP Analyzer Results » Tested on: 01.31.2007 08:02 IP address: 69.114.xx.xxx TCP options string: 020405b401010402 MSS: 1460 MTU: 1500 TCP Window: 65535 (NOT multiple of MSS) RWIN Scaling: 0 Unscaled RWIN : 65535 Reccomended RWINs: 64240, 128480, 256960, 513920 BDP limit (200ms): 2621kbps (328KBytes/s) BDP limit (500ms): 1049kbps (131KBytes/s) MTU Discovery: ON TTL: 56 Timestamps: OFF SACKs: ON IP ToS: 00000000 (0) I did use the optimizer. The RWIN is set to 513920. Still didn't fix the problem.
  6. Akokes, Doesn't work. Says bad command or file name. I am running Win 98SE. Joe
  7. Did all that. Still can't get through to those sites. Joe
  8. I connect by cable modem. This started a couple of months ago. I use IE6, Firefox, and Opera. Same problem all the way around. It's just a few sites. Nothing changed recently, that I know of. I'm running Win98SE. Did the cache thing and the dns thing, rebooted the modems and PC, still no good.
  9. Hi, I can't access certain websites, such as vanguard.com and adobe.com Anyone have any ideas? Internet works fine for 99% of the sites. http://www.pcpitstop.com/techexpress.asp?id=ABNFFW1ABPJSQYHJ
