  8. hi all. i do not have the option in bios to change the bios aperture. i'm certain i am doing everting right. does anyone think the card could be faulty as it seems to work for a while then just goes off one? thanx again guys
  9. thanx for all the help guys. i think i've just about got it although it still locks up and the screen goes blank, not as often but i do have to reset. the driver that came with the disk did'nt work so i downloaded the omega drivers. do you think that this could be the reason? it just seems unstable. http://www.pcpitstop.com/techexpress.asp?id=FQJGMWYQEBQSN686
  10. hi and thanx for all ya help. well i managed to get the damn thing going, or sort of. every now and then, mostly when playing games, my screen either freezes up or goes black and i have to hit the reset button. does anyone have any idea what this can be? any help would be great.. thanx...
  11. hi all. i managed to get the damn card working but every time i get to the desktop my pc crashes and the display goes wild, a bit like matrix with more colour. i managed to do a pitstop as it does'nt crash at the same time everytime. when the graphics test came up i could read the text whereas with this card (radeon 7000) its impossible. i'm completely baffled now. anyone got any ideas. thanx.
  12. hi thanx for that. still not got it goin. just done a complete format of system and XP still will not detect it. if i slam the radeon 7000 back in it will pick it up and use its own drivers until i install the ati ones. i got it goin this morning but as soon as it got to the desktop it just froze then gave me the blue screen of death mentioning something about hardware issues but i did'nt get chance to read it before it restarted.

  14. hi i have been wondering round the www and have been pointed toward the possibility that my power supply may not be sufficient. my current one is 200W to 280W max. some say upgrade to a minimum of 350W. would this make a difference. this is starting to get complicated now. would it be safe to move to a higher power supply on M810LR MOBO? any help would be great. thanx again
