  2. compaq cq5110f help

I picked up a compaq cq5110f for cheap . They said it wouldnt turn on. When i got it home i plugged it in and it booted right up. When i tried to turn it on the next ay it wouldnt turn on. I disconnected the power cord and held the power button in till the green light on the back turned off. After plugging the power cord back in , it turned on and booted up normally. Does anyone know what the problem might be ?

  5. New to me laptop

I was given a laptop that was used at a convenience store where my wife is district manager . As of right now i have cleaned almost 9 gig of crap There is a ton of stuff running of it that it takes forever for anything to open. The last i checked the CPU was running between 85 and 100%. I have ran spybot search and destroy ccleaner spyware blaster disk clean up cleanup Its a little better but not much. Is there any thing i can do to clean it up more? its running windows 7 i thought about upgrading to 10 but wanted to get it cleaned better or dont it matter ? EDIT: Forgot to add its been a really long time since i messed with a windows computer.
  6. magick rotation

if you have a tablet pc like i do this is a great program. i use it on my Fujitsu t4210 tablet pc and love it. i tested it on Ubuntu 12.04 and it works very well. all i have to do is turn my monitor and the screen rotates by its self, no need to click on anything. from the site: Magick Rotation is an application that will help Dell, HP, and Lenovo tablet pc's automatically rotate screen orientation and devices that use the Wacom or evdev drivers. Magick Rotation is not a Ubuntu specific application. Versions have worked in Arch, Fedora, Gentoo, Mandriva, and openSUSE among others. here is the link to it. https://launchpad.net/magick-rotation
