  1. Wow, I just saw this thread. I'm on now. Thanks danielos, this is really great.
  2. I love dragons and blue is my favorite color. (hftmrock- love your tat )
  3. The bible should not have anything to do with it. This is about a legal issue which should not have anything to do with the bible or how some interpret it. Many are, other than "christian" and that is why religion should not even be in the picture. You are free to believe whatever you wish and other's are free to believe something different.
  4. That's my point joe, If you're going to say it you better be real clear in the way you say it. And in Utah, some men still have more than one wife. And they consider it quite legal.
  5. chop, you always seem to have the most info, so correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't all "marriages" civil unions and the church ceremony just a religious symbol that some choose? I heard that somewhere, but I can't remember where. Every one who gets married is married through a civil statute. There is no requirement to have a "church wedding". If that is correct then for those who oppose gay "marriages", how do you then say civil unions are ok? And the US constitution, at this time, does not define marriage as a union between one man and one woman, that's why Mr Bush is trying to change the constitution. Also, for those who oppose same sex marriage and want to make the law say that it can only be between one man and one woman, you might want to be careful what you wish for. If that is to be the case then you better not plan to remarry if you get divorced because that would be illegal if the law says that marriage can only be between one man and one woman. You only get one shot. At least that's how I would interpret that and if I would, you can bet there are plenty of lawyers out there who would represent someone who wanted to oppose the marriage of divorced people. Oh and Way to go Canada. Glad it's my country. Rant over
  6. Just a few I like.. There is no way to peace; peace is the way. --A.J. Muste Nonviolence is not sterile passivity, but a powerful moral force which makes for social transformation.--Martin Luther King, 1964 "Any intelligent fool can make things bigger, more complex, and more violent. It takes a touch of genius - and a lot of courage - to move in the opposite direction" ~Albert Einstein "A human being is part of the whole, called by us "universe," limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest - a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a prison, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons close to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from our prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all humanity and the whole of nature in its beauty." ~Albert Einstein "Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired, signifies in the final sense a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed."~PRESIDENT DWIGHT D. EISENHOWER “The free society who do not take care of its many who are poor will not be able to save it’s few who are rich.”~JOHN F. KENNEDY “We can have a democratic society or we can have a great and concentrated wealth in the hands of a few: we cannot have both.”~LOUIS BRANDEIS “It is to be regretted that the rich and the powerful too often bend the acts of government to their selfish purposes. Distinctions in society will always exist, but when the law undertakes to add to these natural and just advantages artificial distinctions... exclusive privileges to make the rich richer and the more potent more powerful, the humble members of society... have a right to complain of the injustice of their Government. There are no necessary evils in government. Its evils exist only in its abuses. It is time, to pause, in our career to review our principles, and if possible revive that devoted patriotism and spirit of compromise which distinguished the sages of the Revolution and the fathers of our Union.... [W]e can at least take a stand 'against all new grants of monopolies and exclusive privileges, against any prostitution of our Government to the advancement of the few at the expense of the many...”~ANDREW JACKSON The ultimate weakness of violence is that it is a descending spiral, begetting the very thing it seeks to destroy. Instead of diminishing evil, it multiples it. Through violence you may murder the liar, but you cannot murder the lie, nor establish the truth. Through violence you may murder the hater, but you do not murder hate, In fact violence merely increases hate. So it goes. Returning violence for violence multiplies violence, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that. ~Martin Luther King, Jr
  7. I don't mean to keep dragging this on. I just wanted to thank Chopdoc for his well written answer to my questions. I wanted a clinical opinion and thought he could provide that without getting into a more heated discussion. So thanks Chopdoc you told me exactly what I wanted to know.
  8. Hey Chop, Maybe you can answer a question for me. I've been wondering for the past couple of days... After 9 days without the tube wouldn't Terry's organs be shutting down now? So even if they did reinsert the tube would she be able to survive? I think it's time to let the woman go.
  9. I wonder if it isn't just the refrigerator... I have a spot in mine where liquids freeze just because it's colder in that spot. Try putting plain water in both pitchers in the same spots and see if the one where the tea was freezes and the other one doesn"t.
  10. I believe I followed a link in Radio's post to me at another forum. I came over when SWI and Net-Integration were under attack and Jacee was the first to welcome me and I've been returning here every day since.
  11. Looks like I'm the shortest... 5' and 1/2 an inch if I stand really straight. Brown eyes, brown/grey hair and I can wear a kids size 4 1/2 shoe and kids size clothes (and I'm over 50 years old) But hey... good things come in small packages
  12. Nellie2, Please don't resign. I love both the Pit and WF and you and several others have helped me tremendously. Please don't feel like this is your fault. I don't know what it's like to be an Admin or a Mod but I think it can be a very difficult and sometimes thankless postion. (Or at least feel that way). I would miss you terribly if you just faded away. Please reconsider
  13. Oh drat, bluescout, that didn't work either Well I'm off to bed for now. Thanks for all your help. I'll check back tomorrow. Night, night
  14. Ok, I am the administrator, so I followed your instruction and found the recycle bin but under properties it shows global and local disk. I can't find ownership anywhere. Sorry, if I seem dense, I guess I am!! And thanks for your patience
  15. Sorry Inp, The first link I don't understand I know very little about how this computer works. I tried the second way but when I deleted the file it just disappeared so the "empty recycle bin" button was greyed out and I couldn't figure out how to do it. kd5.. I'll check them out for an option to Juno. Thanks
