Hey everyone I'm new to these forums, my friend told me about this forum and said I could get a lot of help from here

Heres my problem- While I'm on the internet or whether I'm playing my game or just browsing through some files that I have the vertical scroll bar constantly and at random time moves up and down(my whole page moves), it gets anoying because sometimes I will be reading something or playing a game and it randomly shuffles through weapons that I have and I didn't press anything. I have a hijackthis scan if you think it would help in solving my problem. I have no idea whats making it do this, is it a virus? or is my mouse just acting weird? Any help on this would be greatful!

:wp: Is it the mouse cursor or the scroll bar that moves. If it's the mouse, go into device manager (control panel>system>hardware>device manager) and click the + sign for mouse. Right click the entry there and choose uninstall. Reboot and windows will reinstall it.

I have that same issue, where the arrow will just fly in one direction every once in a while. It started when I went from a good mouse to a crappy MS optical mouse.

Yah its the scroll bar, it moves on its own, I don't even have to be near the keyboard or mouse and the scroll bar will go up and down itself. but I could try to uninstall and reinstall, but will I need a CD or something to reinstall becuase i think i through the manual and CD installer or whatever out :(

Is it a normal mouse? If so, you won't need anything. Do you have a name and model of the mouse?

Is this your mouse? If so, just enter your OS and it should give you the drivers to download.

Logitech doesn't list that model on their website.

What about mouse pad, might try setting it on a different surface to see if that makes a difference being it is a laser mouse.

Sorry I might have not explained this good enough. The problem is actually on the computer screen itself not the mouse. Say for instance if I go on the web and I have to scroll down because I want to finish reading the rest of a paragraph, the scroller(on the right side of the screen) will jump up and down making it hard for me to read since it is constantly moving. I have no idea how this happened but it started about 3days ago. Say if you put your finger on the mouse scroller(one in the middle of right click and left click) and you constantly move you finger up and down the scroller, thats whats happening except it happens at random times and i am not even touching the mouse, sometimes it does this other times everything works perfect.

Well it seems to have stopped for now, hopefully it wont come back. But anyways if it does I'll just have to get a new mouse if thats my only option but thats not a real big problem. Thanks to all you have helped me. :adios: I'll surly be back with more issues in the future
